The 12'6" 350 to 550 grained rods are transitional tools suitable not only for large Trout but for Salmon and Steelhead into the 3 to 12 pound range. These are authoritive, multi-use tools suitable for a broad range of applications.
They are light-duty two handed rods that will have the ability to carry 100 more grains then will the S2H12634 series rods. This advantage does give them the ability to punch with more authority into mid-day winds, carry bigger bugs, defeat larger game fish, but still allow minimal graphite for an enjoyable day on the water.
These 12'6" rods are time tested light weight two handers. They are extremely diverse tools, all with a sensual authority that allows them to easily deliver any contemporary line system with ease. They have proven their worth across the board in the hands of anglers on rivers worldwide: From twitching Sculpins over Browns in the TVA tail waters of the Southern US, mousing Rainbows in the Kamchatka, to Grilse and Coastal Trout in Ireland.
They are ideal lightweight two handers for the big Western Salmon fly hatches, terrestrials such as Hoppers and Cicadas, and minnow imitations from Par to Sculpins. She is perfectly suited to all of our larger Trouting Rivers and light Salmon/Steelheading.
They will marry well to the short belly floating classic Spey lines, balanced Skagit shooting heads with sink tips, or balanced Scandi shooting head line systems.
