The 14'0" 6/7/8 rods are ideal for long line skating during those calm misty morning river hours when strong winds are at a minimum … But when the afternoon winds do kick-in; you can change over to a shooting head and punch the distance.

These are transitional light to medium duty long rods suitable for all game fish into the mid teens. When married to the correct line systems, they can easily achieve consistent delivery distances into 90/100 foot range.
