The Highlander 6/7 and 7/8 are the mid-range tools of the Switch Rod series. They are hands down our most popular and most versatile short two handed rods.

The best holding water for many of our most sought after river game fish species can often be reached with only minimal distance deliveries. It is always best to fish these close-in areas first prior to wading out into the river to reach more distant holding waters. The shorter 11'0' rods will allow the angler to present close-in as effectively as they will present to the more distant holding water.
Another bonus and great advantage is their ability to consistently achieve long distance presentations with two handed over head deliveries. This eliminates the physical burden of the single hand double haul, and when done with two hands is accomplished with a minimal stroke and an absolute minimal amount of expended energy. In this mode they have proven to be ideal tools for both big still waters and all shallow salt water environments.
The S2H110 6/7 wt. and 7/8 wt. rods are extremely efficient, authoritive tools; designed to meet the diverse mid-range requirements of today's angler for both fresh and saltwater applications.
