Applications:
|
If needed, they will deliver balanced shooting head line systems extreme distances under the toughest conditions. They will also deliver compact Speys with equal efficiency.
Both East and West coast anglers have found them to be hard working, durable rods for targeting large migratory game fish. In the East they have proven to be ideal tools for large Stripers, Albies and Blues. Many West Coasters will use them for the larger Salmon species; from Chum to Chinook.
Fly fishers in the Gulf and Baja have also found them to be excellent tools for pursuing Roosters, Dorado, and Tarpon. They are powerful enough to present heavy grained lines great distances from the beach, rocks or a Ponga, yet friendly enough to snap roll a floating line presentation to a spooky shallow water Tarpon.
Fresh water anglers pursuing big Muskies and monster Pike have found excellent application for these game fish. Many of these anglers will use big top water bugs or sub-surface streamers, and they will prefer a light weight rod with ample power to punch big burley bugs into whatever big still water conditions may arise, yet still have enough back-bone to turn these big game fish at the gunnels. The 8/9 and 9/10 wt. 11'0" rods are more then a fair match for either of these game fish.
